Sweded Films Research

Sweded films are fan-made paradies of already made films usually famous well-known films that have been sucessful. There are several different swedes on YouTube, all are based around well-known films such as Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Jurassic Park.
After watching through several I found a swede about Twlight which had to be my favourite.

I enjoyed watching the shorten version of the film and the story was still clear despite only being 5 mintues long. I can tell this is fan-made but that makes the video even more enjoyable as it is somebody else's interpretation of the story and what they think are the important points that they need to show and what they need to cut out.
Another swede I enjoyed watching was one based on E.T. They used a toy of E.T instead of an actor, this made the swede even more creative and was a nice touch that others might not of thought to do. The music which is from the real film is also a nice effect to have as it makes the film more like the original.

Film Production, Distribution and Exhibition

Film Production

Film production is the process of creating a film. Production goes through different stages such as finding a good story and turning it into a script-writing, casting, shooting the filming and editing. A film needs to have a 'package' with all of the above to make a good film. Finance is one of the most important factors of film-making as without it the less high budget the film will be. The bigger finance the more likely higher class actors and actresses would be interested in working with the film.

Distribution

After the production stages the film goes through the final stages, distribution. Films are sent out to the cinema's for first viewing. The films advertising becomes larger with posters and official trailers rather than teasers. Interviews from the production team or actors are sometimes used to comment on the film. After the film has been in the cinema's for a while the distributer will turn the film into DVD's, Blue-Rays and downloads so the audience can watch the film from home.

Exhibition

Exhibition is where the film is shown. This can be in a cinema or at home on a TV. After a film has been screened in a cinema, some are shown on TV a year or so after it's taken out of the cinema. Films can also be viewed through DVD's, online downloads and sites such as Netflix and LoveFilm.
